Porto Cereais
Porto Cereais developed through the incessant search for improvement coupled with the responsibility to deliver results.
Our commitment made us grow in Tocantins, without forgetting the principles of sustainable development, in line with the social responsibility we have with the local community.
Righteous to the United Nations’ Millennium Development Goals, Porto Cereal strives to ensure environmental sustainability and responsible use of resources, ensuring sustainable production standards.
Seeking our recognition in the national and international market, Porto Cereais developed a decentralized management system. With highly qualified professionals, we aim more and more to expand our business in light of the recognition it has been gaining.
Thus, Porto Cereal developed a construction project for a new Basic Seed Unit that will enable the generation of several jobs in the region.
Feeding 38,7% of the world's population
Porto Cereais currently works with bean exports to the Indian and Chinese markets. Within the Basic Seed Unit, the input is selected, stored, and distributed. The company has a special cold room to accommodate the product that will be exported (stored at a temperature of 50ºF). Thus, by offering cutting edge technology, the company has gained the reliability of the international consumer. Therefore, in the first half of 2019, the products were sent to the two countries, in partnership with other companies.
History
Porto Cereais started out as dream to Mr. Elio Antonio Crema, a farmer who moved from Rio Grande do Sul to Goiás.
He wanted to invest in the State of Tocantins, as he saw agricultural potential in the land.
However, a fatality stopped him from fulfilling his greatest wish, causing his family to strive to achieve this aspiration, in memory.
Thus, in February 2014, his daughter Francieli Crema de Faria and his son-in-law Leonardo Alves de Faria moved to the city of Porto Nacional-TO and began a small grain trade business.
In 2015 Ms. Maria Vanilda Mineto Crema, matriarch of the family, with her son Diogo Crema moved to the municipality, forming a partnership.
With this union, a lot of work and strength gained confidence in the market by expanding its business.
Today, Porto Cereais Agroindustria is dedicated to the trade of grains nationally and internationally, being them: soy, corn, beans, and special grains.
The Family is proud of its history and believes in a promising future.
